Great Gable - Grey Knotts, Brandreth & Green Gable

Great Gable with its distinctive dome shape visible for miles, might be the most identifiable peak in the Lake District. This walk will start from Honister Pass, giving a significant head start on the height gain needed.

As we climb we will leave the slate mining activities behind and head up the lofty Grey Knotts before heading on to take in Brandreth, Green Gable and finally Great Gable, a truly magnificent vantage point on a clear day. Our return will follow the historical Moses’ Trod before meeting with a section of Wainwright’s Coast to Coast path for our return to the start.
