If the majestic Helvellyn is on your list but the thought of taking Striding or Swirral Edge makes you feel a bit iffy then this one is for you. Starting from the Thirlmere side, we rise from the forest wrapped reservoir to the grassy flanks and then on to the summit plateau. I’ll make sure you get to the true summit, and the trig point and we can take in the dramatic scenery set out in all directions from the top. We can then either reverse our route or complete a circuit depending on how the day find us and we find the day.
